Details. Sometimes in a photograph it's easy to over look the details. Heck sometimes in life it's easy to over look the details. We all tend to focus on the bigger picture. Nothing wrong with that.
But once something is gone you hardly ever remember the details. You close your eyes, struggle to bring a place or time back in your mind. Well this is one place for sure I didn't want to forget the detail's. This is the house I grew up in. The house my family owned for years. Like forty some years. We never moved.
Even though the selling of the house is a complete answer to prayers it was also bitter sweet. This is the house that raised me. Sounds silly I know but for my teen years and until I moved away to college just me and my Dad lived here. He had a lot of growing up to do and so did I. Neither one of us knew how to raise the other one. Heck maybe we never did grow up after all. But the house had a lot to do with life......our life.
Countless memories; the good and the bad. I don't want to forget any of it for a second and doubt I ever will. But in some weird way I was afraid I would forget the details of the house. The Victorian elegance, the wood carvings, the light fixtures, the fireplace, and yes even the stained glass windows. Every little detail I wanted to hold onto. So I took some random photograph's of just the detail and put together this.
Goodbye 208.
